African School (Summer School)_University of Nairobi
The University of Nairobi is pleased to announce that the third edition of the two-week African School (Summer School) on Climate Change Adaptation is now officially open for registration.
This immersive program features two flagship courses, Nature-Based Solutions and Adaptation Pathways, delivered by expert faculty from the Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation, housed within the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Participants will also benefit from:
• Keynote conferences delivered by leading external climate specialists
• Curated site visits, including the headquarters of the United Nations Environment Programme
• Collaborative, project-based group work
• An introduction to Kiswahili language, Kenyan culture, and history
The program is open to English-speaking undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students, as well as young professionals.
It aims to deepen participants’ understanding of African science while strengthening their critical thinking and creativity through distinctive insights from African experts in climate change and adaptation.
Program dates: July 13-24, 2026
